These Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots are wonderful dipped in a homemade Marinara Sauce--so succulent and drool worthy! They also make a great side for your favorite Italian entree, or serve as an appetizer at tailgating parties or the Super Bowl.
4tbsp.parmesan cheeseplus more for garnish if desired
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Cut each pound of bread dough into 12 slices.
Stretch out ends and then roll dough with your hands into a rope shape.
Tie into a knot.
Fold the top end into the middle of the bottom and the bottom end into the middle of the front, securing edges as well as possible.
Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet or in a baking dish.
Melt butter in bowl.
Add seasonings and cheese.
Brush each knot with garlic mixture.
Bake at 400° for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven.
Brush knots again with additional garlic butter mixture and sprinkle lightly with more parmesan cheese, if desired.
Notes
NOTE: Serve plain with soups, Italian entrees, salads or with marinara sauce to dip in.
NOTE: There is actually enough garlic and seasonings to make 36 knots if you add a couple more tablespoons of melted butter and use all three loaves in a 3-pack loaf of frozen white bread dough.
