Copycat recipe for Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix - but this version uses xylitol sweetener instead of sugar in the recipe.

Ingredients
  

DRESSING MIX:

  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. onion powder
  • 2 individual pkts. Xylitol or use Splenda, Truvia, Stevia, sugar or honey to taste
  • 2 tbsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1 tbsp. dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp. celery seed or celery salt
  • 1 tsp. sea salt

DRESSING:

  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 2/3 cup canola or olive oil avocado oil is also an excellent option
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 2 tbsp. dry dressing mix (above)

Instructions
 

DRESSING MIX:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic salt, onion powder, sugar, oregano, pepper, thyme, basil, parsley, celery salt and regular salt.
  • Store in a tightly sealed container.
  • Makes .5-oz.

DRESSING:

  • Whisk ingredients to combine.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

NOTE: Another option is to place 2 tbsp. dry mix in ¼ cup red wine vinegar to infuse flavors. Then stir into a cup or two of plain or vanilla Greek yogurt. Add 1-2 tbsp. sweetener of choice or about 1/3 to ½ cup honey. Spread over top of layered salads!
NOTE: If you are not concerned about your sugar intake, I recommend using the 2 tsp. sugar instead of Xylitol or other sweeteners in the recipe because of the increased flavor.
