Strawberry Twinkie Dessert is a spectacular 3-ingredient dessert that's great for holiday entertaining. This is a great substitute for Strawberry Shortcake and uses Hostess Twinkies, frozen sliced strawberries, and Cool Whip non-dairy topping. This lovely strawberry dessert will rock your world! Prepare to be indulged.
24oz. ctn.frozen sliced strawberries in sugardefrosted
16oz. containercool whipor other non-dairy whipped topping
Instructions
Cut Twinkies lengthwise and layer cream-side-up in bottom of 9x13” baking dish.
Spoon thawed strawberries over top of Twinkies.
It will cover the surface pretty well.
Spread Cool Whip over top.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
NOTE: This is really good for only about 12 hours. It is best to make it only a few hours before you need to serve it. It gets a little mushy after a couple of days in the refrigerator.NOTE: Garnish with additional fresh strawberries, if desired.NOTE: I usually place the frozen strawberries in the refrigerator about a day before using in order to thaw them completely.
