  • 1 electric mixer
  • 1 sharp knife to cut Snickers bars

Ingredients

  • 1 recipe homemade Fudge Frosted Brownies without nuts or icing
  • 14.5 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 11.5 oz. bag Snickers minis chopped or quartered
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3.9 oz. box Jello instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 12-oz. containers Cool Whip or non-dairy whipped topping
  • 14 oz. jar Hershey’s caramel topping
  • 15 Maraschino cherries with stems, for garnish, if desired

Instructions

  • Mix up brownies and bake in a greased 10x15” baking dish for 25 minutes at 350°.
  • Cool completely.
  • Cut in one-inch cubes.
  • Chop or quarter Snickers bars.
  • Set aside.

  • Sprinkle with about 1/3 of the quartered Snicker’s bars.
  • Spread half of the chocolate pudding mixture over top and 8 ounces of the non-dairy whipped topping.
  • Repeat layer once: brownies, caramel sauce, 1/3 of the quartered Snickers bars, remaining chocolate pudding mix and remaining non-dairy whipped topping.
  • Sprinkle remaining Snickers bars over top of whipped topping.
  • If desired, drizzle with more caramel sauce and garnish with rinsed and dried maraschino cherries, if desired.
  • Refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

NOTE: I didn't use all the brownie pieces for this trifle.

NOTE: Dark roast cocoa has a very STRONG taste. If you aren't used to a really strong almost coffee-type taste in your brownies, I recommend using Nestle's Tollhouse Cocoa instead.

NOTE: Preparation time does not include time required to make and cool brownies.
