Nacho Cheese Dip

Nacho Cheese Dip is the perfect appetizer for any tailgating party or sporting event. This fantastic 4-ingredient recipe makes a wonderful Tex-Mex dip much like queso. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy the smooth creaminess of this dip with your favorite finger foods.

Equipment

  • 1 large crock pot
  • 1 sharp knife to cut the cheese in cubes
  • 1 hamburger chopper
  • 1 wooden spoon
  • 1 large skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 32 oz. pkg. Velveeta cheese cut in cubes
  • 14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes with green chilies undrained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 lb. bulk pork sausage cooked and drained, and broken up into very tiny pieces (mild or hot)

Instructions
 

  • Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink.
  • Use a hamburger chopper to break meat up into tiny pieces while frying.
  • Spray crock pot with cooking spray.
  • Toss meat into crockpot; add remaining ingredients.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Turn crockpot on high for about an hour to an hour and a half.
  • Reduce heat to warm or turn off entirely.
  • Stir before serving over tortilla chips.

Notes

NOTE: Be careful not to overheat this recipe. The Velveeta cheese cooks fast. It will begin to burn after about an hour and a half unless it is turned down to warm.
