Right after Halloween, I sent my husband to the grocery stores to get lots and lots of cheap candy. I wanted candy bars, not small hard candies. My desire was to bake lots of different pies and cookies with the cookies. I made about six different kinds of cookies for our Christmas Cookie Extravaganza last year. I also sent about 12 pies to my husband’s work place. Those candy filled pies were a huge hit.
But these luscious cookies were baked after my holiday baking was distributed. I put them in the freezer and John gave them out to several people he knows through work. I made four batches of this recipe. We’ve already heard so much fantastic feedback on how much people enjoyed these delectable cookies.
You will notice that these cookies use a bit more flour then you’re probably accustomed to using in a recipe. That’s because there’s a lot of oil in the chocolate and peanut butter once it’s heated and breaks down. If you don’t use enough flour, the cookies run into each other and flatten out horribly.
These substantial cookies (monster-sized), are our comfort food of choice. My husband loves Snickers Bars so he can never get enough. Give me a cookie any day of the week and I’m a happy camper. Snickers Peanut Butter Cookies make for a delightful dessert for tailgating parties, backyard barbecues or summer holiday fun. They’re also great for a Christmas Cookie Exchange. If you want a dose of chocolate, caramel and peanut butter, this dessert is right up your alley.
Snickers Peanut Butter Cookies are superb.
This is a great dessert for any kind of holiday fare.
Sit down with a tall, cold glass of milk and eat them one-by-one. 🙂
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften butter and place in large mixing bowl. Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt and baking soda.
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add chopped Snickers Peanut Butter Bars.
Stir ingredients very well with a heavy metal spoon to combine.
Scoop dough with a one-quarter cup cookie scoop. I packed the dough into the scoop.
Place dough on greased baking sheets.
Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 13-15 minutes or until done. Rotate cookies on racks every six minutes while baking. I was baking 3 racks at a time. My cookies took about 16-18 minutes to bake completely.
Serve Snickers Peanut Butter Cookies at your next tailgating party or potluck.
If you enjoy chocolate, caramel and peanut butter, you’ll love these cookies.
Every bite is scrumptious.
These luscious cookies have double the peanut butter. They’re so scrumptious.
Here’s the recipe.
