Sea Salt Caramel White Chocolate Cookies

Teresa Ambra

Okay, here’s another superb cookie where I hit the gold mine! Sea Salt Caramel White Chocolate Cookies are as scrumptious as can be. I know by now you must think I’m fixated on my copycat recipe of Mrs. Field’s Chocolate Chip Cookies. Well, perhaps not exactly fixated, but it’s such a great base recipe for cookie dough that it’s become my go-to recipe for so many treats.

Follow Me On Instagram!

This lovely cookie is filled with both Sea Salt Caramel Chips and White Chocolate Chips. I purchase both at our local Kroger store. Hershey’s refers to them as Sea Salt Caramel and Kroger and other stores refer to them as salted caramel chips. If you don’t have Kroger stores in your area, try looking at H-E-B, Publix, King Souper, Tom Thumb, Food Lion, Ingles or Albertsons. I find the Hershey’s caramel chips at our local Wal-Mart. (It’s one of the bigger stores with more selection).

My personal preference is the Kroger private selection brand because the chips are brighter orange in color (and don’t fade into the cookie dough color) and they’re a little larger. I also can’t find true White Chocolate Chips anywhere in the Dallas Metroplex except Kroger and Trader Joe’s (which is not close to where we live). Everyone carries white chips (vanilla), but not White Chocolate Chips. Go for true white chocolate chips when you make this recipe.

My husband frequently gives out cookies with his job. So you will probably find more postings for cookies or brownies on my blog than anything else. I am constantly baking in order to give out homemade cookies. A lot of times I go with old stand by recipes, but more often than not I try to come up with something creative or try out a new recipe I’ve found on Pinterest.

Such was the case back in early August when I made these jewels. I made a Sea Salt Caramel version, one with chocolate, and this one with white chocolate. Oh my, talk about salivating. The aromas of these cookies baking reminded me of Pavlov’s dogs! It’s definitely time to gorge, uh, eat five or ten, uh, one or two and satisfy my sweet tooth cravings. 🙁

If you’re in need of a dynamic recipe to top off your Labor Day fun, for tailgating parties this fall, or even Christmas cookie exchanges, give these amazing Sea Salt Caramel White Chocolate Cookies a try at your next opportunity. These addictive cookies will have you salivating just like Pavlov’s dogs. 🙂

I used these ingredients.

Soften butter. Add sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, salt, baking soda and baking powder.

Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add a bag of salted caramel chips and white chocolate chips (NOT VANILLA CHIPS).
