I received a twenty-pound box of fresh peaches from the Washington State Stone Fruit Growers Commission in the middle of August. They asked me to blog about my experiences with their delicious stone fruits. These peaches were juicy and so delicious. The skins were perfect, unlike any peaches I’ve seen before. I’ve made up several recipes with the peaches and still have enough fruit to make a few more desserts with them.
My husband is always looking for ways to give away cookies or brownies. They go to neighbors and friends, people in the hospital, coworkers and other people he visits for work. I try to keep my freezers well-stocked so he can pull one out at a moment’s notice and give them away. These are perfect cookies/blondies to give away. They freeze well and they hold up to transporting to other locations well.
I know many of you are thinking: peaches and chocolate chips??? Really. Yes, really. These Peach Chocolate Chip Blondies are amazing. Give them a try and I’ll make a believer out of you. No kidding.
Peach Chocolate Chip Blondies are simply marvelous.
These lovely blondies are great for tailgating parties and potlucks.
Peach Chocolate Chip Blondies are filled with fresh peaches and chocolate chips. Yum.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften butter and place in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, baking soda and sea salt.
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add fresh peaches and chocolate chips.
Stir ingredients with a wooden spoon to combine well.
Grease an 18×26″ cookie sheet. Press mixture down into the prepared baking sheet. (I had to keep my hands moist while doing this).
Bake at 350 about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Peach Chocolate Chip Blondies make great snacks for summer and early fall when fresh peaches are readily available.
Chocolate and peaches are divine together!
