Oreo Cookie Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie
Want to WOW your mom, spouse, family or company for Mother’s Day? Oreo Cookie Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie will do it. This fantastic ice cream dessert is absolutely sensational. Plus, it’s a 5-ingredient recipe. So it’s E-A-S-Y, easy, yes ridiculously easy. This dessert is made with a homemade Oreo Cookie crust. Then it uses Blue Bell chocolate chip ice cream, mixed with sliced almonds and coconut. Those ingredients are spooned into the Oreo crust. Then crushed Oreo cookies are sprinkled over top. Do I hear an AMEN?

Seriously, this ice cream pie is everything you could want in a dessert. It’s rich, decadent, heavenly and chocolaty. Throw in the flavors of Oreos and Almond Joy Bars and it doesn’t get any better than this. This outrageous dessert is perfect for Mother’s Day. Or Father’s Day. Or Valentine’s Day. Or any day you feel like making it!
Back in early February I made lunch after church for our young adult (college age) group. I served Gluten Free Pot Roast, Broccoli Cheese Cornbread, Winter Fruit Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing, Fried Green Beans, Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie and this delectable pie. All were well received. Several of the guys raved over the salad and salad dressing. (Who raves over salad?) But they did. Almost everyone had two servings of the pot roast and most didn’t even realize it was gluten free. (One of the director’s has Celiac so I always try to make something she can eat). Even the green beans got compliments. But, of course, everyone loves bacon. 🙂
Even with all the compliments I got on all the other food, it was this ice cream pie that was the winner of the day. Everyone loved it. Several of them asked me for the recipe or how to make it. (Since it wasn’t going to be posted for at least two months). Yes, they loved this pie.
If you can find a pre-made Oreo cookie crust, it’s even easier! Just crush a few Oreo cookies over the top and you’re good to go. Guys, you simply have to make this amazing and scrumptious pie. It’s so easy you can make it for family or weekend desserts. Since it stays in the freezer, you can eat it whenever you desire. I like serving it for company because it’s always well received.
Give Oreo Cookie Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie preferential treatment in your monthly menus. But be warned! This ice cream pie is addictive and so easy to make. You may find yourself putting it on your weekly rotation. 🙂 Don’t mind if I do.
Oreo Cookie Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie is sensational!
The nice thing about this rich dessert is it’s so easy to make.
Wow your mom, spouse, family or friends with this amazing dessert for Mother’s Day!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients. If you can find pre-made Oreo cookie crusts, then this dessert is even easier to make.
Crush Oreos with a rolling pin.
Place crushed Oreos in a small mixing bowl. Remove 2 to 3 tablespoons of Oreos for topping. Set aside.
Combine remaining Oreos with melted butter. Stir to combine.
Press Oreo mixture very firmly into a pie plate.
Meanwhile, soften ice cream. It took mine about 15 minutes to get soft enough to work with a spoon.
Add coconut and sliced almonds.
Stir to combine.
Spoon ice cream mixture into Oreo crust.
Sprinkle top of pie with reserved Oreo Cookie crumbs. Freeze several hours or overnight.
Serve pie garnished with Maraschino cherries, if desired.
Oreo Cookie Almond Joy Ice Cream Pie is rich, decadent and absolutely heavenly.
This is a terrific dessert for company or holidays.
This is the ultimate for a holiday dessert!

I did not see any almond joy candy bars listed in the ingred. In delicious sounding pie. How many and when to add?

Hi Trudy, There are no actual Almond Joy Candy Bars in the ingredients. Just the ingredients in Almond Joy Bars – coconut, almonds and chocolate. It’s such a delicious pie. I hope you make it.
