Snickers Meltaways
Snickers Meltaways are another of those “melt-in-your-mouth” Candy Bar Cookies that are so scrumptious you won’t be able to stay out of them! Every delicious bite is filled with Snickers Bars, so the cookies have lots of chocolate, lots of caramel, lots of nougat, and lots of peanuts. Yum, yum, yum!

We had some friends who needed a meal after a stay in the hospital back in early February. I offered to bring them a meal which included Snickers Meltaways for dessert. I also made a Pot Roast dinner, Corn Pudding, our favorite Homemade Rolls and another favorite: Pear Salad with Glazed Walnuts. They were thrilled with a good old-fashioned meal, and I was glad for the opportunity to serve.
I’ve made a lot of these “Meltaways” cookies over the past few years, but some of our favorite ones have been the ones made with candy bars. Everyone ALWAYS raves over them. These Meltaway cookies are Sugar Cookies that dissolve in your mouth while eating. Plus the chopped Candy Bars always make an impression. Whether they’re Butterfinger, Snickers or any other kind of Candy Bar, everyone gobbles them up in no time.
The recipe also makes a rather large batch, so these cookies are terrific for tailgating parties, potlucks, backyard barbecues, Family Reunions or Christmas Cookie Exchanges. If you have Snickers lover’s in your family, these cookies are to die for!
For those of you who enjoy chocolate, peanuts, caramel and nougat in your desserts, these Snickers Meltaways are for you!
A stack with a glass of milk does the trick. 🙂
Snickers Meltaways simply dissolve in your mouth. They’re that good.
Every bite will knock your socks off!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften butter. Place in a large mixing bowl along with granulated sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.
Add oil.
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
Chop Snickers Bars.
Add to cookie batter along with unbleached flour. (Bleached flour toughens baked goods).
Stir ingredients until well combined.
Roll cookie dough into golf ball-sized balls.
Now roll the cookie dough in granulated sugar.
Place on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees about 12 to 15 minutes. Rotate cookie sheets on oven racks after 8 minutes of baking time. My cookies took 18 minutes to bake completely.
Snickers Meltaways are terrific for tailgating parties.
These cookies are great to keep in the cookie jar for hungry kids when they get home from school!
These are also great cookies for potlucks and Family Reunions since each batch makes 57 cookies!
Every drool-worthy bite will rock your world!
Here’s the recipe.
