John and I went out to lunch after church back in April with some friends. They brought along another couple who had just moved here and was working at the same company my husband used to work. For over two decades, John liked giving out cookies to folks he worked with. So I brought along cookies for the three other couples present. Those included Mimi’s Potato Chip Cookies, Snickers Surprises and these lovely jewels. We gave these cookies to Mario and made him promise us that he would let his wife have some! He texted us after we’d left saying he had his first one on his drive home and gave it two thumbs up.
John has been my taste-tester since I started this blog ten years ago. (Actually since we were first married and I tried out recipes on him). I know he will give me honest feedback and not fudge an answer. Granted, there are some kinds of foods (like avocados) that he despises and will just not eat. But for the most part he can evaluate pretty well if something is great or just so-so. Ice cream and cookies are John’s two indulgences. He’s pretty careful about what he eats these days, but he will allow himself a small scoop of ice cream and a cookie now and then.
He loved these cookies. Truly there’s not much to dislike about them. These cookies have body because I measure them out with a large cookie scoop. Blending the chocolate with the peanut butter has always been a happy place with him (especially in Snickers Bars!) All in all, these are superior cookies that are great for tailgating or office parties, potlucks, backyard BBQs, family get-togethers, soccer practice or holiday baking.
I assure you, everyone will want at least one (if not two, or three, or four) of these Chocolaty Peanut Butter Cookies. But you better hurry. Grab one quickly or you may find yourself losing out to everyone else! 🙂
We loved how Chocolaty Peanut Butter Cookies turned out.
These cookies are filled with chocolate and peanut butter. They’re just scrumptious!
These cookies are excellent for tailgating parties or potlucks.
If you enjoy Peanut Butter Cookies, these are fantastic!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften butter. Place in a large mixing bowl. Add crunchy peanut butter, eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add two bags of miniature chocolate chips.
Stir, stir, stir until every morsel of flour is mixed in completely and thoroughly.
Scoop cookie dough with a large cookie scoop. I usually pack the dough into the scoop so the ingredients adhere well together.
Place cookie dough about three inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees about 15 minutes or until done. Rotate cookie sheets on racks every six to seven minutes of baking time. My cookies took longer. Because I was baking two racks at a time, they took almost 25 minutes to bake completely! 🙂
Chocolaty Peanut Butter Cookies are terrific for backyard BBQs and family get-togethers.
Now it’s time to sit down with a tall glass of milk and enjoy!
There is so much chocolate in these Peanut Butter Cookies that they are absolutely divine!
Chocolaty Peanut Butter Cookies will make you swoon!
