This is my last Christmas cookie recipe to close out 2013. I was so craving some M&M cookies a few weeks ago so I started with my M&M Party Cookie recipe, but baked it in a cast-iron skillet instead. The chocolate glaze makes this skookie absolutely mouthwatering. I couldn’t get enough of this sensational skookie recipe. I kept eating and eating and eating this stuff!
If you’re looking for a marvelous skillet cookie then I recommend Chocolate Glazed M&M Skookie. You will certainly get all your sweet tooth cravings satisfied with this terrific skookie–that is, if your family lets you eat any of it!
This is a great recipe and treat for a holiday dessert as well. It cuts really nicely and is certainly beautiful, elegant and festive. Add a plop of ice cream, too, if you desire. Give Chocolate Glazed M&M Skookie a try soon. You will be one satisfied customer!
Chocolate Glazed M&M Skookie is a mouthwatering chocolate chip cookie-type recipe. Chocolate chips and vanilla chips melted together are drizzled over the top. Yum.
Here’s a picture of the M&M Skookie without the chocolate glaze so you can see the texture of this fabulous goody.
This side view shows the interior texture of the skookie.
Here’s one more view of the skookie before I added the glaze.
Here’s what I did.
In a large mixing bowl add sugar, brown sugar, softened butter and eggs.
Add vanilla, baking soda and salt. Mix ingredients with an electric mixer until well blended.
Add UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add M&Ms.
Mix ingredients with a wooden spoon until combined.
Oil cast-iron skillet with a few tablespoons canola oil. Press dough into skillet and then press additional M&Ms into the top of the skookie. I had to sprinkle a little bit of flour on top of the dough before pressing it down into the pan to prevent the dough sticking to my fingers.
Bake the skookie at 350 for about 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow skookie to cool.
Place chocolate chips and vanilla chips in a microwavable safe bowl. Microwave chips 1 minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds stopping every 20 seconds to stir mixture, until chips are completely melted.
Now the glaze is ready to glaze the skookie. You can glaze individual pieces, or glaze the whole skookie. The glaze will re-harden after a few minutes so drizzle chocolate over skookie immediately or you’ll have to re-microwave the chocolate.
Cut Chocolate Glazed M&M Skookie into approximately 16 pieces and serve. I highly recommend this for any holidays: Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s Day or any other holiday!
I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into this wonderful skookie.
Cbocolate Glazed M&M Skookie will certainly satisfy all your sugar cravings. This scrumptious skookie is comfort food at its best. Uhmmmm, chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate, yayyyy!

What if you don’t have a cast iron skillet/pan? Can you bake it in a pyrex dish/pan? How long?

Hi, Sherri, you can bake it in a pyrex dish, but the baking time will depend totally on the size of the dish. If you have a 9×13″ dish, I would start with about 15-20 minutes and start checking the middle with a toothpick every five minutes after that.
