Gluten Free Living – 2017
Homemade Ranch Croutons are the BEST! These awesome croutons are coated in Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix, olive oil, Italian seasoning and garlic before baking. So once they’re nice and crispy, the croutons have amazing Ranch flavor. They’re the perfect crouton for soups and salads. I made mine especially for Easy Crockpot Tomato Soup and thought the Ranch flavored-croutons in tomato soup were spectacular.

Since I made these croutons with my favorite gluten free bread, they’re also gluten free. The Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix has no preservatives, so this is a cleaner version than many croutons made with regular bread that also include high fructose corn syrup. They’re delightfully crunchy and amazingly tasty.
Homemade Ranch Croutons are really easy to make. You can use ANY kind of bread, even leftover stale bread of any variety or any combination will work. After baking, the croutons, are crispy, crunchy and oh, so tasty. If you enjoy eating a lot of salads, these croutons rock! Especially if you’re eating a salad with Ranch dressing as it doubles the delicious Ranch flavor. Enjoy!
Homemade Ranch Croutons are perfect for your favorite soup!
These croutons are so easy to make.
I loved the flavor of Homemade Ranch Croutons in Easy Crockpot Tomato Soup!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients. Any kind of bread can be used for this recipe. The pyrex measuring cup contains a batch of Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix.
Pour olive oil into a small saucepan. Heat over low to medium heat. Add garlic and saute a minute or so.
Add Ranch dressing mix (dry) and Italian seasoning. While I used a full batch of Ranch Dressing mix, a half batch would probably absorb better into the bread cubes (unless you want to use a lot more oil).
Cut bread into cubes. Stale bread works best. Don’t trim the edges as they add a good bit of flavor and texture.
Combine oil/Ranch dressing mix and Italian seasoning with the bread cubes and stir well to combine.
Spread bread cubes onto a very large cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees about 20 minutes.
You can store these for several days in a zip lock bag or plastic container.
Homemade Ranch Croutons are also fantastic served on top of your favorite salad.
Ranch Dressing Mix adds incredibly delicious flavor to the croutons!
Here’s the recipe.
