Parmesan Pork Chops
These Parmesan Pork Chops are heavenly. The savory flavors of parmesan cheese, thyme, parsley, lemon pepper and Italian bread crumbs coating the pork chops are amazing. This seasoned breaded pork chop recipe is great for company or family dinners, because you will find everyone will be delighted with this delicious pork chop entree. I served it along with Sweet Potato Bacon Boats, another of my favorite recipes, and we had one scrumptious meal last Friday. We enjoyed every morsel. 🙂

I don’t eat pork chops very often any more, not since 2009 when I started trying to eat healthier, lose weight and began a cleaner eating campaign. But I saw these pork chops in the freezer the other day and decided I needed to use them up since I need the space for my Christmas cookies. I thought that I would make them using the same basic recipe that I use for Parmesan Chicken Bake (one of our favorite chicken recipes and one I serve company regularly). I’ve also used the same coating to make my Baked Turkey Cutlet Parmesan.
I wasn’t wrong, this excellent coating worked well on pork chops just like it has on chicken and turkey cutlets. It wasn’t just “fine,” it was exceptionally good! Quite frankly, I was not sure if I was even going to be able to eat the pork chops. Once you stop eating some of the higher fat content foods like pork and then reintroduce them, you don’t always have the enzymes necessary for breaking the food down and indigestion is the result. But I didn’t have any problem with these pork chops. Probably because they were a little leaner than most.
If you’re looking for a dynamite way to serve pork chops then consider baking them in casserole form like this Parmesan Pork Chops recipe rather than simply frying. They turn out so well, you will find your whole family enjoys them. Plus, they only take a few minutes to get oven ready. They’re a real life saver when you have a lot on your plate and don’t have time for a lot of fancy food preparation in the kitchen.
Parmesan Pork Chops are so quick and easy to make. You can have them oven ready in 5-10 minutes!
These tasty pork chops have a delightful coating of parmesan cheese, Italian bread crumbs, thyme, parsley and lemon pepper which provide wonderful savory flavors.
Parmesan Pork Chops are so tasty, you won’t mind serving them for company! Sweet Potato Bacon Boats is a nice side dish for this entree.
If you’re in need of a quick main dish for dinner, this one can’t be beat.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Pour bread crumbs onto a plate. Add parmesan cheese, parsley, lemon pepper and thyme.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Dredge both sides of pork chops in seasoning, pressing firmly so crumbs adhere to the pork chop.
Spray the bottom of a 10×15″ glass baking dish with olive oil cooking spray. Place pork chops into dish. Sprinkle any remaining bread crumbs over top of the pork chops.
Drizzle with olive oil. I used about a tablespoon over each one.
Bake, uncovered, at 350 about 1 hour depending on the thickness of the pork chops. Some may take longer.
I served Parmesan Pork Chops with Sweet Potato Bacon Boats. Believe me, I was in hog heaven, uh, seventh heaven after this meal. 🙂

Sweet Potato Fries with Garlic Herb Sauce – Can't Stay Out of the Kitchen

[…] Sweet Potato Fries with Garlic Herb Sauce is a spectacular way to prepare potatoes. It’s just so succulent and amazing. When I made this recipe a few weeks ago for regular oven fries I knew it was a winner. But I really wanted to give it a whirl with sweet potatoes and see how it turned out. Wow! If I thought it was great with regular potatoes it was fantastic with sweet potatoes! This is such a simple recipe and I made it vegan by using only olive oil in the recipe instead of butter. It’s an excellent side dish for any kind of meat, but especially for chicken and ham (or pork). […]
