Candy Bar Brownies
Candy Bar Brownies. Let that sink in! These luscious brownies are filled with Snickers Bars and Hershey’s Chocolate Bars. So they have triple the chocolate flavor, plus some caramel, peanut and nougat flavors thrown in. Yes, they’re spectacular! On top of that, they’re really not all that difficult to whip up. If you’re in “need” of a chocolate dessert, this is the one for you!

I was contacted by our church to bring a meal to a younger family in need of a meal. I whipped up Paula Deen’s Crockpot Potato Soup (with all the toppings), some homemade rolls, an Almond-Raspberry Tossed Salad and these Candy Bar Brownies. They were so delighted with the meal they sent me a text later to express their appreciation and say how much they enjoyed the meal.
One of the things I do best is making meals for other people. But it wasn’t always that way. I didn’t know how to cook anything when I got married. Thankfully, my husband did! Over the years, I’ve collected thousands of recipes (no kidding), and I’ve cooked and baked my way into hundreds of homes by providing meals for lots of different occasions. If my schedule isn’t overloaded, I’ll almost always volunteer to bring a meal to someone….Whether we know them or not!
Candy Bar Brownies turned out sensationally. And I’m really not kidding. I’ve been going through a lot of my old Taste of Home Cookbooks to try out recipes that I have overlooked in the past few decades. This was one of those recipes. I thought it was time to make it and I’m really glad I did. It turned out so chocolaty, so rich, decadent even, and one of those recipes that’s a keeper if you know what I mean. The family I cooked for got about half of the brownies and some neighbors got the remainder (after we went through them!).
If you need a chocolate fix, Candy Bar Brownies should be on your bucket list of delectable and scrumptious goodies to make. Your whole family will enjoy them. You may even find yourself making them on a regular rotation. They’re THAT good! 🙂
Candy Bar Brownies are sensational!
These brownies are perfect for tailgating parties and potlucks.
They’re so rich and gooey that everyone will love these chocolaty treats!
Snickers Bars and Hershey’s Chocolate Bars make these brownies first rate!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
In a mixing bowl, melt butter.
Add granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.
Whisk ingredients until well combined.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine unbleached flour (bleached flour toughens baked goods), cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Set aside 1/4 cup of the flour mixture to combine with the Snickers bars.
Add remaining cocoa mixture to the egg mixture.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Chop the Snickers Bars into 1/4-inch pieces. Combine the Snickers Bars with the 1/4 cup reserved cocoa powder.
Add Snickers Bars and cocoa mixture to chocolate mixture.
Stir to combine.
Spread chocolate mixture into a greased 9×13″ glass baking dish.
Chop Hershey’s Candy Bars.
Sprinkle the Hershey’s Candy Bars on top of the chocolate mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Do Not Overbake!
Cool the brownies completely, and chill before cutting into bars.
These chocolaty nuggets are wonderful snacks for backyard barbecues, Family Reunions or to take to any sporting event.
Candy Bar Brownies are a delectable treat for family and friends anytime you want to fill your cookie jar!
Prepare to swoon over every bite! Especially if you enjoy Snickers Bars or Hershey’s Chocolate Bars!
