Best Chocolate Chip Peach Cookies

These scrumptious cookies start with a favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and add peaches. The combination of peaches and chocolate is incredible. They're perfect for a summer dessert when peaches are in season.

2 18x26" cookie sheet pans
1 large mixing bowl
1 electric mixer
1 wooden spoon
1 sharp knife to cut and pare peaches
measuring cups
measuring spoons
1 large cookie scoop
1 nut chopper if nuts are not previously chopped
1 spatula
1 cup unsalted butter softened 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup light brown sugar packed 2 large eggs 2 tsp. vanilla extract 3 1/2-4 cups UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour bleached flour toughens baked goods 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. hot water 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup walnuts chopped (measure after chopping) 2 cups peaches peeled and finely diced
Preheat oven to 350°.
Place hot water in a measuring cup.
Add baking soda and stir to dissolve.
Set aside.
Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt and baking soda mixture with an electric mixer until creamy.
Stir in flour, chocolate chips, walnuts and peaches with a wooden spoon until well combined.
With a ¼ cup cookie scoop, scoop dough and place on cookie sheets that have been sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake 15-20 minutes at 350° or until done.
Rotate cookie sheets on racks every 7-8 minutes of baking time.
Cool completely.
NOTE: These cookies are whoppers. Smaller cookies will take less baking time.
