Pizza Soup is filled with Italian sausage, pepperoni, pizza sauce, mushrooms, green peppers and loads of cheese. Everything you would enjoy on a Pepperoni or Sausage Pizza is included in this amazing soup. I ate bowlful after bowlful of this amazing soup and didn’t want to stop! It was perfect reheated as leftovers for a couple of days, too.
A couple of months ago I was trying to figure out a way to use up some Italian sausage I had in the freezer. I really had to make room for all the Christmas Cookies I was baking. When I ran across this recipe in an old magazine with both Italian sausage and pepperoni, I knew I had to make it. I changed the recipe up a bit, but that was my inspiration for this soup.
If you’re on the lookout for a quick and easy weeknight meal recipe, this is it! Pizza Soup is not only simple and delicious, it’s gluten free and a recipe your family is sure to want to consume on a regular basis. Give it a try and watch your family drain the soup down to its last drop!
Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza Soup is absolutely amazing.
Pizza Soup is pretty spectacular. But it’s also really simple and easy to make.
This delectable soup only takes about 30 minutes to make! It’s perfect for weeknight dinners when you have to get a meal on the table in a jiffy!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients, plus water. I didn’t use the avocado oil.
Saute sausage in a skillet until no longer pink–about 5 minutes. Do NOT drain grease.
Add onions, bell pepper and mushrooms.
Saute an additional 5 minutes until veggies are tender, stirring frequently.
Add pizza sauce, diced tomatoes, pepperoni, Italian seasoning and water.
Cover with lid and cook over low to medium heat for about 10 minutes.
Stir in parmesan cheese and heat through.
These easy soup is absolutely delicious.
It’s chocked full of pepperoni, Italian sausage and mushrooms–just like your favorite pizza!
Garnish soup with mozzarella cheese and fresh oregano before serving.
Serve Pizza Soup with a hard Crusty Bread, if desired.
Have a little bit of pizza with your soup!
Here’s the recipe.
