Cherry White Chocolate Chip Blondies
Cherry White Chocolate Chip Blondies are awesome. These fantastic brownies are filled with white chocolate chips and fresh cherries. They’re gooey and everything you could want in a dessert. While I served them ala mode, they are certainly terrific plain. I gorged on these jewels before sending the rest out to John’s office so I wouldn’t keep eating all of them. 🙂

Back at the end of June, I received a 20-pound box of cherries from the Northwest Cherry Growers. They asked me to try the cherries and blog about them. Well, I did try them and made ten different desserts with all of them. I thought my fingers and thumbs would be permanently stained from cherry juice. 🙂 But it did wash off eventually. We loved the cherries, and the desserts were all terrific. I sent all of the desserts (or at least part of them) to neighbors, John’s co-workers and friends. Two of our neighbors took part of their Cherry Cream Cheese Pound Cake to their offices. I got rave reviews out of that cake.
I served Southern Cherry Cobbler to our Friday night care group. That dessert was greatly enjoyed. I sent these blondies and a Cherry Crumb Coffee Cake out to John’s office and everyone there was grateful to get a taste of my home-baked goodies. Several of the other cookies and bars were used to stock our freezer so John can give away cookies wherever he goes.
As I stated in previous posts, our family loves cherries. My Best Cherry Pie is one of our absolute favorites. But every now and then we enjoy cherries in muffins, cookies, blondies, cakes, cobblers and even salads. We can’t get enough of them. 🙂 If you’re in the mood for a knock-your-socks-off dessert, this Cherry White Chocolate Chip Blondies will do it. They are so drool-worthy you won’t be able to stop eating them. Yum.
Cherry White Chocolate Chip Blondies are spectacular.
These blondies are delicious topped off with ice cream.
I absolutely loved the taste of these blondies.
Every bite of Cherry White Chocolate Chip Blondies will have you drooling.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Place softened butter in a mixing bowl. Add sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, soda and salt.
Cream with an electric mixer until smooth.
Wash cherries. Halve and pit; then dice cherries. Pat cherries dry with a towel before adding to other ingredients.
Add UNBLEACHED flour. Bleached flour toughens baked goods. Add white chocolate chips and diced cherries.
Stir with a wooden spoon until combined.
Pat mixture into a greased 13×17″ cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
