Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread
Gluten Free Living – 2023
Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread is so delicious. I made this tasty bread along with three other Gluten Free treats for those with Celiac or special dietary needs for Christmas last year. I started with my favorite Sour Cream Pound Cake recipe. I changed it up a little bit with spices and added cranberries and pears. I was looking for a way to use up all the extra cranberries I had leftover from holiday baking and came up with this fantastic sweet bread recipe.

First of all, you’ll never be able to tell that this recipe is gluten free. The gluten free flour I used has the same texture as regular flour. The texture is great and I used exactly the same amount of gluten free flour as I would have with regular flour. (So this recipe is interchangeable with regular Cranberry Pear Bread.) Because of the tartness of the cranberries I chose a recipe that already had a LOT of sugar! This recipe uses three cups! I chose to omit any kind of nut in case anyone had nut allergies. I also left out any kind of chips since most of them use ingredients that aren’t helpful for those with digestive issues.
Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread is a great fall baking bread once you can get your hands on fresh cranberries (around October or early November). I like to purchase extra bags around that time and freeze them. Then I just pull out one of the bags from the freezer months later and bake up something with cranberries. Yum.
This is a great sweet bread to bring to holiday parties, Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, or to give away to neighbors and friends. You can make it gluten free or not–just switch out the flour for your particular needs. Either way, Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread will get your motor revving. 🙂
Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread is so delicious.
This sweet bread can be made with either gluten free flour or regular flour. However, if I make it NON-gluten free, I usually use cake flour.
Delight your gluten free family and friends with this tasty recipe.
This is a terrific sweet bread to make for Fall Baking.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Soften butter. Add sugar and eggs.
Mix with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add gluten free flour. If you don’t need to make it with gluten free flour, use cake flour.
Mix with an electric mixer again until smooth.
Add vanilla and cinnamon.
Mix with electric mixer again until ingredients are incorporated into the batter.
Add baking soda to sour cream.
Stir to combine.
Stir sour cream mixture into batter.
Add cranberries and diced, peeled pears.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Grease and flour seven miniature bread loaf pans. Spoon batter into prepared pans. Top with six to eight cranberries and lightly press the cranberries into the top of the batter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 60 minutes until a bamboo skewer or knife inserted to the bottom comes out clean.
Allow bread loaves to cool completely in bread pans before inverting onto wire racks or cooling racks.
Cut down each loaf into six slices.
Serve!
Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread is great for Thanksgiving or Christmas breakfast, brunch or dinner!
Cranberries and pears really work incredibly well together. There’s plenty of sweetness and texture to enjoy in this delectable recipe.

Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread is great served with butter or cream cheese spread over top. Yum.
The texture of this gluten free bread is wonderful. You’ll never think this is a gluten free recipe. I used a cheaper Great Value (Walmart) brand of gluten free flour and it was really good.
We heard so many good reports back from our gluten free recipients about how much they enjoyed this delicious sweet bread.
Gluten Free Cranberry Pear Bread makes a great gift to friends and neighbors – especially any that you know have gluten intolerance.
