Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls
I love, love, love, Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls. They’re perfect for any kind of a meal with pasta. But they’re also fantastic with soups, chilis or just because! This easy dinner roll starts with my Easy No Knead Dinner Rolls recipe. But then I add a tasty garlic and parmesan cheese topping that amps up the flavors enormously.

I made this recipe a couple of times. I used a couple of ideas from my Easy Garlic Parmesan Knots recipe. But I felt like that was too much parmesan cheese for these rolls. I cut back to one tablespoon cheese and only spread that on top of the rolls after baking. It was the perfect amount, and the rolls turned out fantastic.
I made the first batch of rolls and served them with Smoky Turkey Black Bean Chili. Both were delicious. The second time around I served the rolls with World’s Best Lasagna. Yes, please! I love dinner rolls anyway, but an easy no-knead recipe? Absolutely marvelous.
Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls are the perfect accompaniment to any dinner meal. If you bake them up for company or holiday meals, everyone will want seconds for sure! I’ll take two or three. (wink, wink).
Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls are so scrumptious.
These rolls are wonderful with any kind of pasta recipe.
A slab of butter never hurts. 🙂
These dinner rolls turned out heavenly. I ate a ton of them. Just be prepared, it takes about 4 hours from beginning to end for the rolls to be ready to serve.
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients for the rolls.
Cut butter into slivers and place evenly on the bottom of a bread canister.
Add warmed half-and-half. I usually microwave the cream at 50% power for about 1 1/2 minutes.
Pour bread flour over top. Sprinkle evenly with sugar.
Sprinkle evenly with salt and yeast.
Place on “dough” setting of breadmaker. This will take about 1 hour 45 minutes.
Form dough into balls. Be sure to stretch and press the tops so that the wrinkles are worked out or tucked under the dough.
Grease a 9×13″ glass baking dish with butter. Place rolls in baking dish.
I used these ingredients for the topping.
Melt butter in a measuring cup.
Add garlic powder, parsley, oregano and basil.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Brush about 1/3 of the butter mixture on top of the rolls. Allow rolls to raise until they come up almost to the top of the dish. This will take about 1 1/2 hours – sometimes 2 hours. (See Notes Below).
Bake about 20-25 minutes or until the middle rolls are not doughy.
Brush all of the remaining butter mixture over top of the rolls. (Go over them a couple of times with a brush).
Now very carefully, sprinkle with parmesan cheese over top of the rolls. Be careful not to spread so much on one roll that the others don’t get adequate coverage.
While it may seem that the rolls don’t have very much parmesan cheese, I assure you, it’s plenty.
We loved eating these rolls with Smoky Turkey Black Bean Chili.
Having a no-knead recipe is wonderful. No mixing and no kneading!
Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls are great with any kind of entree. Your family will love them.
These dinner rolls were excellent with Smokey Turkey Black Bean Chili. But they were also fabulous with World’s Best Lasagna.
Here’s the recipe.

Garlic and parmesan cheese carry the flavors. But the added basil, oregano and parsley also added a little zest to the recipe.
While Garlic Parmesan Dinner Rolls were superb with this Smoky Turkey Black Bean Chili, I found them equally good to serve for breakfast! Yum.
