1/3 to 1/2cupapple butter
Instructions
Roll out a single layer pie crust.
Spread softened butter over top.
Dab with spoonfuls of apple butter and spread it as well as possible.
If it doesn’t spread well, dollop dabs of the apple butter on top of the butter. (It will cook fine and spread while baking).
Sprinkle with cinnamon, then granulated sugar.
Roll up the dough gently, jelly-roll fashion and crimp and seal edges.
Be careful not to tear the crust while rolling.
Place in a baking dish and bake at 350°for about 30 minutes or until crust is cooked through.
Cut into one-inch to one-and-a-half-inch slices.
Notes
NOTE: You can use homemade or store-bought crust for this recipe.NOTE: Even though my pictures show assembling this recipe a little differently, I think it will work better to spread the Apple Butter over top of the butter rather than trying to spread it over top of the cinnamon.
