Butterfinger Banana Bread
Butterfinger Banana Bread is one of the richest, most decadent, sweet breads ever! I started with my favorite Banana Bread recipe, but instead of using chocolate chips in the batter, I tossed in chopped Butterfinger Candy Bar crumbs. Then I added a rich, chocolate icing and topped the icing with more chopped Butterfingers. Yum-o!

If you follow my blog at all you know I had a LOT of leftover Butterfinger Candy Bars after Christmas Cookie baking. I’ve been trying to think up all sorts of ways to use up all that extra candy. I’ve made Butterfinger Donuts, Butterfinger Scones, Butterfinger Muffins along with the two cookies I baked: Butterfinger Meltaways and Butterfinger Gooey Gooey Bars. In every case, the Butterfinger goodies were outstanding.
Several of our neighbors got a miniature bread loaf of this Butterfinger Banana Bread. One of the gals had just gotten out of the hospital and was thrilled with these sweet treats. She referred to it as “cake” and it surely is as sweet as one!
I make only one recommendation when making this sweet bread: Use FOUR miniature bread loaf pans and fill them only about three-quarters full. This recipe expands A LOT while baking so you need the extra space at the top because it will rise that much. Once baking, start checking the bread with a bamboo skewer after about 45 minutes of baking time. It may take the full hour in some ovens, but this bread may be ready in 45 for hotter ovens.
Butterfinger Banana Bread is a scrumptious sweet bread to serve for any weekend or company breakfast or brunch. Add it to your menu with plenty of protein and everyone will rave over this delicious treat. Or for that matter, this is a great snacking bread any time, day or night! 🙂
Butterfinger Banana Bread is so scrumptious.
Every bite is so rich and decadent.
The lovely flavors of chocolate and peanut butter from the Butterfinger Candy Bars permeate this delectable sweet bread.
Butterfinger Banana Bread is a delightful sweet treat to wake up to in the morning!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients for the bread.
Mash bananas on a plate with a fork; set aside.
Soften butter in a mixing bowl. Combine bananas, eggs, vanilla extract, granulated sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Beat with an electric mixer until bananas are almost completely smooth.
Chop Butterfinger Candy Bars; set aside.
Add unbleached all-purpose flour (bleached flour toughens baked goods) and chopped Butterfingers.
Stir ingredients to combine.
Grease and flour very well, four miniature loaf pans. Spoon batter evenly into pans and smooth the tops with a knife.
Bake about 45 minutes to an hour at 350 degrees, or until a knife or bamboo skewer inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pans on wire cooling racks about 30-45 minutes before removing bread from loaf pans.
Remove bread from pans and place on a large bread board.
I used these ingredients for the icing.
Place powdered sugar and cocoa in a mixing bowl. Add half-and-half.
Add vanilla extract
Whisk ingredients well to combine.
Spoon icing over top of bread loaves and then immediately sprinkle with Butterfinger Candy Bar crumbs.
Butterfinger Banana Bread is so sweet, it’s almost like eating dessert!
You’ll be drooling over every mouthful!
