Apple Butter Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls
Apple Butter Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls just explode with flavor. I’ve always loved Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls since I was a very young child. My Mom baked them every time she made a fruit pie for dessert, which was weekly! I like adding jams, preserves and jellies to the Cinnamon Rolls as well, since they are so very delicious and, well, fruity!

I’ve made lots of different flavors of Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls over the years: Peach (made with fresh peaches), Apricot, Strawberry, Red Raspberry and Pumpkin for starters. They always turn out heavenly and they are the first to go no matter what kind of desserts I have on hand. This version uses my Homemade Pie Crust with Butter (instead of using shortening).
Apple Butter Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls are not only good for breakfast, they’re terrific for snacks during the day or as a dessert. I served them with Beef and Vegetable Potpie. Oh my, that was a comfort food meal my husband and I both raved over.
I will make one suggestion that differs from the pictures below: It may be easier to spread the Apple Butter over top of the butter (the first ingredient spread over top of the pie crust), rather than waiting to add it last. The Apple Butter I purchase from Kroger is really thick (the way I like it), so I had to dab the Apple Butter on in globs. But it might spread easier if you were just spreading it over top of the butter instead of over top of the cinnamon and sugar. (Add cinnamon and sugar last!)
Even still, the Apple Butter melts down while baking and you have yourself one amazing Cinnamon Roll made from pie crust! They’re breathtaking. No kidding! 🙂
Apple Butter Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls are irresistibly mouthwatering. I served them with Beef and Vegetable Potpie and couldn’t get enough of either!
These Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls just rock with flavor!
The expression “to die for” aptly fits these delicious treats.
These Cinnamon Rolls are great for breakfast but I eat them any time of the day!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients, plus sugar and a pie crust. You can make a Homemade Pie Crust or use store bought.
Roll out pie crust with rolling pin. (Mom always used leftover scraps from making pies).
Spread with softened butter.
Sprinkle with cinnamon. Here’s where I would change it up a little bit. I would probably add the Apple Butter now, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Add Apple Butter. If it’s thick, you’re probably going to only be able to dab the Apple Butter on the pie crust. That’s okay. It will melt down when it’s heated in the oven.
Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Roll up jelly-roll style. But be gentle and careful so the pie crust doesn’t tear.
Press the edges together to seal and place in a baking dish or on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes until lightly browned and the crust has cooked.
Allow the Cinnamon Rolls to cool completely before cutting with a very sharp knife and serving.
Apple Butter Pie Crust Cinnamon Rolls are breathtaking.
These rolls are marvelous served as a dessert with Beef and Vegetable Potpie.
