As you’ve probably noticed, I’ve published a lot of cherry recipes lately. I actually made this recipe before all those fresh cherry desserts. I was on a tear a couple of months ago and made 12 different kinds of cake mix cookies. All of them were at least double batches. Yes, I had cookies coming out the gazoo.
Those cookies included Carrot Cake, Almond Joy, Lemon, Strawberry, Pina Colada, Funfetti, Rainbow Chip, Triple Fudge, Spice, Butter Pecan and Red Velvet. All were delectable and all were incredibly easy to make. I’ve had so much fabulous feedback on these simple cake mix cookies. Without exception, everyone has loved them. No one can believe they only have 4 (sometimes 5) ingredients!
If you want a festive and beautiful dessert for company, this is it! It takes under 30 minutes to make. On top of that, these cookies are fabulous for special occasions like Valentine’s Day, holiday baking, Christmas Cookie Exchanges or the Fourth of July when red is the theme.
Give Cherry White Chocolate Cookies a try the next time you want to indulge. You’ll be glad you did. 🙂

Cherry White Chocolate Cookies

Cherry White Chocolate Cookies are so easy, yet delectable! This 4-ingredient recipe includes a Cherry Chip Cake Mix and white chocolate chips. The flavors and texture are superb. These festive and beautiful cookies are wonderful for special occasions like Valentine’s Day, Christmas Cookie Exchanges or the Fourth of July. But they’re easy enough to make any time of the year.
- 18×26" cookie sheet pans
- large mixing bowl
- wooden spoon
- measuring cups
- spatula
- 15.25 oz. box Betty Crocker Cherry Chip Cake Mix
- 1/3 cup canola oil (or vegetable oil)
- 2 large eggs
- 11.25 oz. pkg. white chocolate chips (NOT vanilla chips or premiere white baking chips)
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Combine cake mix, oil and eggs.
- Stir in white chocolate chips.
- Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray.
- Roll cookies into balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake at 350° for 13-15 minutes or until done.
- Rotate cookie sheets every six minutes.
Cool completely.
NOTE: Because I was baking three racks of cookies at once, my cookies took 18 minutes to make. I also rotated the trays every six to seven minutes.
Â
NOTE: These cookies must be rotated during baking or the white chocolate chips will brown on the top rack.
Â
NOTE: I found it easier to keep my hands moist while rolling cookie dough into balls.
Â
NOTE: Be sure to use true white chocolate chips. Most stores only carry white or vanilla chips. They are not the same. In the Dallas area the only two stores that carry white chocolate chips are Kroger and Trader Joe’s.
