I made up about 15 different chocolate pies during the months of July and August. I gave them out weekly to whomever was scheduled to mow our lawn the weeks from July to October. My husband suffered a massive stroke in early June, so he was no longer able to take care of our yard. We had several guys and gals from our neighborhood, church and former churches that offered to mow for us. We even had one family who worked with John, drive an hour each way to mow our yard for us. They were all such a blessing. We were so grateful for all their hard work during the horribly hot Texas summer days.
Anyway, this pie got delivered to friends from church who also used to be part of our Friday night Bible study each week. She normally doesn’t eat a lot of dessert. But when she heard I had a Baby Ruth Chocolate Pie in my freezer, she snapped it up. Her husband has been here on several occasions fixing things and finishing the cabinet we had installed in our office after John was laid up and couldn’t do it.
Baby Ruth Chocolate Pie is a superb dessert for holiday or company fare. Every piece will be gobbled down in the blink of an eye! Better make two pies while you’re at it. Everyone will want seconds. 🙂
