Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins
Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins are so scrumptious you won’t be able to stop eating them! Really. Who doesn’t love Nutella? On top of that, this is a great way to use up all those overripe bananas you don’t want to go to waste. These delicious muffins are filled with bananas and almonds and then have Nutella swirled into the batter before baking. Mouthwatering. Crunchiness from the almonds mixes so well with the luscious Nutella sauce and banana-flavored muffins.

Back in August 2016 I made some Nutella Muffins for friends. I had half the jar left over and wanted to use it up. So when friends of ours had a baby about the same time, I thought I would use the rest of the Nutella on a different batch of muffins.
The new mom said these muffins were so addictive she couldn’t stop eating them. 🙂 Both of these Nutella Muffins were gobbled down in short order. Had I made them for myself, I probably would have polished them all off in a couple of days. Thankfully, I was able to whisk some of them away to others so I wouldn’t eat them all!
While I initially published this recipe in 2016, they turned out so well I thought I would republish them for new followers who didn’t get a chance to see them the first time around. If you’re looking for a delightful recipe for Saturday breakfasts or holiday menus, then I can’t recommend Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins highly enough. Prepare yourself for a culinary experience to die for!
Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins are heavenly.
Once you try one of these jewels, you won’t want to stop eating them!
Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins are great muffins to bake for friends and neighbors–especially those just moving into your neighborhood.
These delightful muffins will have you drooling!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients. Notice that I used very ripe bananas!
Combine sugar, brown sugar, egg, bananas, coconut oil and vanilla.
Whisk to combine well.
Combine UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add to bowl with almonds.
Stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Place paper liners in muffin tins. Spray each liner with cooking spray. Fill muffin liners almost to the top with muffin batter.
Dollop about a tablespoon of Nutella on top of each muffin.
Using a bamboo skewer, swirl the nutella into the batter. Bamboo skewers work a lot better than toothpicks and you have more control over the swirls.
Here all the muffins have had the nutella swirled into the batter.
Bake at 425 for 5 minutes. Reduce heat and bake an additional 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before removing from tins.
Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins are filled with bananas, almonds and Nutella sauce is swirled through the batter.
If you enjoy Nutella, you’ll love these muffins.
Nutella Swirl Banana Muffins are so delectable you won’t be able to stay out of them. 🙂
