Favorite Fruit Salad
Gluten Free Living – 2018
Favorite Fruit Salad is creamy, fluffy and oh, so delicious. This lovely salad has a cream cheese base mixed with non-dairy whipped topping and a little sugar. Then you add a banana, orange, apple, kiwi, blackberries, grapes, maraschino cherries and pecans. It’s outrageously good–especially for summer holiday fun and backyard barbecues. It’s a wonderful potluck salad for any party.

Last month we had dinner with some folks in our neighborhood. She cooked a feast for us and Favorite Fruit Salad was on the menu. It’s one of those creamy salads that’s sweet enough to be served as a dessert. We loved it. Our hostess served so many tantalizing foods that day. I had never had Boudin Balls before. Apparently they are very popular in Louisiana where she’s from originally. They were awesome. Anyway, we couldn’t get enough of this divine salad.
My husband especially has always loved fluffy fruit salads and I have a ton of them on this blog. Those include Pistachio Fruit Fluff Salad, Cherry Fruit Salad, Ambrosia Salad and Peach Fluff for starters. Yes, we love fluffy, fruity salads and I probably have about 20 recipes already posted! But there’s always room for one more, right?
I recently had the opportunity to make this salad to serve to some friends who had a baby. I took them a meal and made this along with Amish Chicken and Noodles, Fried Green Beans, Baked Pineapple and a loaf of homemade bread. Everything turned out wonderfully and they appreciated not having to cook a meal when they were so busy trying to get adjusted to a new baby.
