Snickers Ooey Gooey Bars
Oh my goodness. I hit the Grand Slam with these amazing, luscious, spectacular Snickers Ooey Gooey Bars! Yes, these Ooey Gooey Bars were extraordinarily good with the addition of chopped Snickers Bars on top. They had the delicious cheesecake layer from the Ooey Gooey Bars, but then the chocolate and peanut butter nougat from the Snickers Bars. Yum, yum, YUM!

I baked all the cookies and goodies for my Christmas Cookie Extravaganza between October 18th and November 13th this year. I try to do everything early so we have time to go to parties and other festive activities during the Christmas season. I baked 16 “cookies” this year, of which, four were bars or brownies.
We have had so many people from our neighborhood and church tell us that they LOVED the cookies. Several from our neighborhood said they were the best batch of cookies in the three years we’ve done them for this neighborhood. High praise, indeed! One guy told my husband this morning that he never eats sweets but he’s been nibbling away at several of the goodies. Everybody has been drooling over the Christmas cookies this year. 🙂
The Cranberry Orange Cookies have had the most likes. But we’ve also gotten a lot of thumbs up for the Grandma’s Log Cabin Cookies, the Cherry Pineapple Date Cookies (who figured?), Tropical Pineapple Meltaways, Cherry Meltaways, Butterfinger Meltaways and Butterfinger Ooey Gooey Bars, Reese’s Cup Ooey Gooey Bars and of course, these Snickers Ooey Gooey Bars.
What’s not to like in any dessert made with Snickers Bars? These ones are fantastic and you only need six ingredients to make them. That’s a win-win for me! Most of my pictures show me making double batches of this recipe. I think I made a total of 10 batches or five double batches using my 18×26″ baking sheet pans. Strangely enough, the large pans cooked the same length of time as the single 9×13″ baking dishes – about 40-45 minutes.
If you’re looking for a scrumptious tailgating recipe or sweet treat for a Christmas Cookie Exchange, potluck or family get-together, these Snickers Ooey Gooey Bars should be on the menu. Everyone will want one…or two, or maybe even three!
Snickers Ooey Gooey Bars is a luscious 6-ingredient recipe that your family and friends will rave over.
These delectable brownies have chopped Snickers Bars on top! Yum.
The cheesecake layer makes these bar-type cookies even better!
If you enjoy Ooey Gooey Bars, these ones with Snickers Bars on top are super scrumptious!
Here’s what I did.
I used these ingredients.
Pour cake mix into a mixing bowl. Add egg and melted butter.
Stir with a fork or wooden spoon to combine.
Pat mixture into a greased 9×13″ glass baking dish. If mixture is too sticky, sprinkle very lightly with flour and press mixture spreading to edges of pan.
I was making double batches, so these pictures show twice the size.
Soften cream cheese and place in a mixing bowl along with remaining eggs.
Add powdered sugar.
Beat with an electric mixer until mixture is completely smooth.
Spread cheesecake layer over top of crust layer with a rubber spatula.
Spread cheesecake layer to the edges.
Unwrap Snickers Bars and chop.
Sprinkle chopped Snickers Bars over top of cheesecake layer.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes; the top will be set.
We usually refrigerate these bars a couple of hours before cutting into bars, for easier cutting.
Snickers Ooey Gooey Bars are terrific for a tailgating party or potluck.
These are great to take to a Christmas Cookie Exchange too.
If you pack the bars into plastic containers they’re great for traveling. They also freeze extremely well.
Here’s the recipe.
