This is one quick, easy and delicious Hot Sauce to make. If you love chips and salsa or anything Tex-Mex, you will love this excellent Hot Sauce recipe. All you do is put the ingredients in a blender, then after pulsing a few times the sauce is done! This five-ingredient recipe uses whole canned tomatoes, cilantro, diced onion, garlic salt, and a jalapeno pepper. That’s it!
When John was teaching a Sunday school class at a church in Cedar Hill in the 2000s, one of the gals in our class made this marvelous Hot Sauce every time we had a Tex-Mex potluck–which was often. I finally asked Mylia for the recipe and she told me, “It’s so easy!” I’ve had this recipe in my book over five years and finally I’ve gotten around to make it myself. She was right. This recipe E-A-S-Y. You can adjust the amounts to suit yourself. If you want a hotter sauce, then add more jalapeno peppers when you blend it. I actually used the chopper option on my immersion blender and it worked fine.
